Cinemooo is a game where your videos play on a cow in a field at night. It is run by Edwin Hidalgo. You can reach us at hello@cinemooo.com.

The short version: there are no accounts, no cookies and no tracking IDs, and your own videos never leave your device.

What stays on your device

• Your progress (which cows you have, your streak, your settings) is saved in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.
• Videos you load from your camera roll or computer play straight from your device. They are never uploaded.

What we collect

To learn what people enjoy and keep the game running well, the app sends us anonymous usage events, for example "a video was loaded from YouTube", "a cow was unlocked" or "the page loaded in 1.2 seconds". Each event can include:

• the kind of event and a few details about it (such as which cow, or which kind of video source)
• the app version, your device type (phone, tablet or desktop), screen size and country, which our hosting provider works out from your connection
• performance timings, and error messages from the app itself

We do not collect your name, email, IP address, precise location, or the titles of videos you watch. To count how many different people visited on a given day, our server makes a one-way code from your connection details and the date. That code changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, the app sends nothing at all. Usage events are kept for up to three months.

Services we use

• YouTube. YouTube videos play in YouTube's own player, using the YouTube API Services. When you watch them, Google may collect information as described in the Google Privacy Policy. We never access your YouTube or Google account.
• Pexels. Stock videos and their preview images load from Pexels' servers. See the Pexels privacy policy.
• Internet Archive. Movie-night films load from archive.org. See the Internet Archive's terms and privacy.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and processes your connection details to deliver it. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Children

Cinemooo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can clear your progress at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Because we don't keep personal data about you, there is nothing else to delete. If you have questions, write to hello@cinemooo.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Accounts, if we add them later, will come with an updated policy before anything changes.
